About the CEO Benjamin Kabelik:

Benjamin graduated from FH Wiener Neustadt in 2007 with a degree in Geoinformation. He then moved quickly into the Airborne remote sensing business and has never looked back, mainly aerial remote sensing operations, geomatics and IT.

After a short time of indecisiveness following school, he found a home at Diamond Airborne Sensing (DAS). He started as an Airborne Sensor Operator and flew many extensively in the first 1.5 years. Due to the enormous success in the LIDAR / Orhtophoto business Diamond Airborne Sensing expanded its capabilities from a simple flight operation to a flight operation and data processing business. Since then, Benjamin was responsible for the data processing group and become a crucial member of the Airborne remote sensing department. As years flew by at DAS, Benjamin succesfully moved into other fields of Airborne remote sensing like Hyperspectral Imaging, data processing and IT support.

In 2009 the former CEO of DAS Wolfgang Grumeth founded Airborne Technologies (ABT) together with seven experts; one of these experts was Benjamin. He was now responsible for the Airborne remote sensing data processing group and CIO for information and communications technology. Besides his heavy workload, responsibilities, and burning the mindnight oil at ABT, Benjamin successfully obtained a master´s degree in IT Management.

After a short but intensive intermezzo at Frequentis AG, where Benjamin was a technical project manager and learned a lot about large size IT, control rooms and TETRA, he returned to Airborne Technologies as department Head of Data Solutions and CIO.

As Head of Data Solutions and CIO at ABT, Benjamin sharpened his executive skills. He managed a team of five fixed employees and several freelancers as Head of Data Solutions, as well as leading an IT team.

Besides becoming an expert in airborne remote sensing and IT, Benjamin gained keen knowledge and expertise in international tender procurement, contract management and business development.

Today, Benjamin continues to expand his professional career and started Kabelik GmbH, with the mission of supporting all airborne remote sensing stakeholders or any client looking for the right solution, i.e., from managers, operators, analysis to end-users.
